1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using WasteOps ("the Service"), operated at wasteops.org, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Description of Service

WasteOps is a fleet management and operations platform for waste collection businesses in Nigeria. The Service includes GPS fleet tracking, pickup verification, customer management, invoicing, payment processing, route management, and driver mobile applications.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials (PIN, passkeys, and linked authentication methods).
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
  • Organization administrators are responsible for managing team member access and permissions.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Nigerian law
  • Attempt to access another organization's data or account
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Upload false or misleading pickup verification data
  • Share account credentials or invite codes with unauthorized parties
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications

5. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you enter into WasteOps, including customer records, pickup data, photos, and invoices. We do not claim ownership of your data. You grant us a limited license to process, store, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6. GPS Tracking and Driver Consent

By using the driver mobile application, drivers consent to GPS location tracking during active routes. Organization administrators are responsible for informing their drivers about GPS tracking and obtaining any additional consent required by applicable law.

7. Payments and Billing

  • Payment processing is provided through Paystack and subject to Paystack's terms of service.
  • WasteOps is not responsible for payment processing failures or delays caused by Paystack or banking institutions.
  • Invoice amounts are generated based on verified pickup data. You are responsible for reviewing invoices before sending them to customers.
  • All amounts are in Nigerian Naira (NGN).

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The driver mobile application includes offline-first capabilities to minimize disruption during network outages. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects service availability.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, WasteOps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data loss, or business interruption.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the service relationship at any time. Upon termination, you may request export of your data within 30 days. After 30 days, we may delete your data in accordance with our data retention policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
